One of my all time favorite holiday sweets is salt water taffy. It always brings back fond memories of driving up to Cape Cod with my family when I was a kid. So you can imagine my joy when, on our recent trip to the Oregon coast, we found a little candy shop in Florence that sells these tasty treats:
I bought a whole big bag of peppermint which is my all-time favorite salt water taffy flavor. Of course, I then proceeded to eat myself sick for the rest of the car ride. But that’s what a road trip is all about, right?
What’s your favorite sweet?
My coffee drops are my favorite sweet 🙂
Nice take on the theme, happy weekend!
mmmmm. I love salt water taffy! Just thinking about that brings lots of memories.
I think this photo hunt is going to keep me grinning (and hungry) all weekend!
Yummy shots. Somehow I love coconut candies. I’m sure you will get loads of that when you are in Bangkok. Have a nice weekend 🙂 http://crizlai.blogspot.com/2007/06/photo-hunters-sweet.html

i don´t now them, but i love peppermint. Nice picture.
Happy Hunting.
PS: Mine are up, too. 🙂
Oh, yum. We watched it being made when we were on vacation in Estes Park, CO on Memorial Day. Why I didn’t take a picture of the shop, I’ll never know! Fortunately we will go back often, so I can always remedy that mistake.
My favorite sweet is Cadbury chocolate. The real stuff from the UK, not the pathetic imitation from Hershey, PA! 😉
SWEET Photo Hunt
Ah, just the picture of salt water taffies brings back memories of the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. Good times.
Oh, I love salt water taffy too. How I miss it!!
(I’m up as well.)
I haven’t tried this one yet. I’m sure it’s a nice treat.
As for me, I have a weakness for Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups. Bliss! 🙂
Yum, it’s been ages since I’ve had really good salt water taffy. My favorite sweet, hands down, is dark chocolate.
I’d prefer chocolates as they’re sweet and filling 🙂
This is one of the things I remember about Oregon. Driving the coast road and watching them pulling the salt water taffy in the stores.
Those wouldn’t tempt me, but that’s fine — I wrestle enough with the temptations I do have!!
Salt water taffy! Yummy!
My favorite sweet? Tootsie Rolls. I can eat them by the handful.
nice pic!
have a great weekend! 😀
Salt water taffy is one of my favorites as well and black licorice is another one of my weaknesses.
Mmmm…..I remember getting salt water taffy once a year at the amusement park.
I remember those times at the Cape, too! I only have taffy there. Time to go back I guess!
Yum! I too love salt water taffy…my teeth dont, but oh well. Great photo for the them! My photo is up, please come and visit
Chocolate, especially caramel….remember those candy bars that students always sold at school to raise money for stuff- they usually came in almond, crunch, plain adn caramel? Well, those caramel bars were pretty much the best thing that ever happened to me! I’d give anything for one now…..
We are missing you guys, can’t wait to talk to you soon!
I always get overwhelmed in candy shops. There is too much to chose from!
I love salt water taffy. But, my favorite would be M&Ms 🙂
Ah…salt water taffy. Brings back lots of memories for me, growing up at Salem Willows in Salem, Mass. where they had a shop that sold it.
But…my favorite sweet as an adult is French chocolate. The very dark, rich, decadent kind.
Oh, I love salt water taffy!!!
Hope you are enjoying your trip around the States!
