This may not look specifically like technology to you, but I can safely say that this is the height of hi-tech in Hanoi, Vietnam. This is a close-up shot of one of the many unique shopfronts that make up the old quarter of Hanoi. This shop contains pretty much anything you can think of in terms of tech parts. Can you see the copper wire, extra outlets, and something that looks like an amplifier or surge protector? Can you imagine having your radio or computer repaired here? Technology looks quite a bit different in Vietnam!
That is fascinating….What a great idea. Mine’s up
Wow! That is a very interesting shot. I posted my very first photo hunt today.
Amazing!!! And truly a different ‘take’ on technology. I love it.
Mine’s shared. Drop by if you can and say hello.
WOW! Great idea for the theme this week. Well done.
I played too.

Interesting photo and a great take on technology 🙂
Have a nice weekend!
Great picture! I imagine technology would look very different in different countries.
Very interesting. It is so easy to have a narrow perspective on something like technology. Your photo helps me think more globally. Thanks! Blessings ~ Patricia
Now all he needs is a roll of duct tape…
Nice photo and a really interesting take on the theme!
Lots of whachamacallits and thingamajigs there.
Greats hot.
Take care,
Frances
Wow! Def. hi-tech! *lol* Actually I love it.
Makes me realize that it’s still people in the world actually fixing thing with very modest attributes – and with their hands, not machines.
Almost like craft 🙂
Oh, those are pretty common in the Philippines too…resale car parts.
Wow, that makes for an amazing photo. Great idea! 🙂 My photo is up
I love shops like that – many amazing, interesting things to look at. Also many great things for “found object” artists to use in their works I’m sure!
Great shot!
Mine’s up…finally LOL
Happy New Year to ya!
That is such a great photo!
Great choice for the theme.
I love the colors, it looks like a work of art!
Happy Weekend
Mine’s up too!

Wow, I love it! It is amazing what things look like under their metal shell.
Mine is up too.
That photo has beautiful composition!
Yes, technology comes in many different forms at many different stages, very interesting slant on the theme, thanks.
I love the creativity of people who take technological junk and make something of it.
I love the picture. It is really warm looking to me which is, I suppose, a bit strange to think.
Small whine-a-thon moment… The last few days, I am going into Kimbo blog withdrawl. I got into checking every day when you wrote every day and now I meet with many fruitless attempts. Strange but since you are not posting as much I check more hoping that next time…
So here I am clinging on to your every word, waiting patiently, or not so much, in our house. Yes, I am stuck here now due to 7 degree below weather (grrrr brrrr Canada…) and the other half being in Germany… come on Kimbo, give me something cheery from the warm climes!
Thanks for all the great feedback folks! This is the first time I’ve actually cropped a picture down for Photo Hunt – I like how it turned out 🙂
Laura,
I’m so sorry! I’m actually going to blog withdrawl myself. But, huge, major things are in the works which is sucking up all my time. All good things, which I will share with everyone as soon as everything is finalized (how tantilizing is that?). But for now, I may not be completely on my blogging game – I’m working on it though 🙂
