Yikes! Five is the number of weeks we have left before we move to Thailand! Ironically, five is also the number of years we thought we would stay in Malaysia. I guess it turned out to be two instead. Five is also the number of years we lived in Germany, as well as the number of years we lived in the Hartford area in Connecticut. Five years seems to be a nice amount of time to live in one place. Long enough to really get to know it, and just long enough to start feeling like it’s time to move on. We’re hoping for a minimum of five years in Thailand, but you never know…
And, just in case you’re interested, this is the best wall calendar ever: The Lonely Planet Wall Calendar. I get one every year – it has a beautiful picture for every day of the year and every month is a different country. It can inspire the traveler in anyone!
You must be excited about the move…busy too. It seems like a major thing. I have only moved down the street and I was all stress out.
Five must be a good number for you. Is it your favourite number? It looks like it’s following you. Good luck on your move. 🙂
That’s a nice calendar!
You’re blessed to experience life in many countries. It must be a great learning experience to be exposed to different traditions and cultures. Hope your upcoming move will be smooth. Good luck in your new adventures.
Good luck with your move! Thanks for the tip on the calendar. It’s beautiful.
Beautiful photos in that calendar — is Wed. the 23rd a photo of a jeepney from the Philippines? And good luck with your move to Thailand! BTW For my post I also talked about how “Five” is also a special number for us.
Dang.. Can I be like you? I want to stay 5 years and move and stay 5 years and move.. I’m sure it’s fun! 🙂
How exciting!!! Sounds like 5 is a good number for you! Can’t wait to hear more about your move.
Happy Saturday!
Wow. At first I thought that was a lot of moving then I realized we have only been here for 5 years and lived less than that everywhere else. Time flies. That calender is BEAUTIFUL. A very tempted–it would make an awesome resource for our homeschool.
You’ve lived in a lot of places. I like to stay were I am, but maybe I’ll travel some one day!
Happy packing 🙂 Great photo.
Wow, you really came up with a whole bunch of “5” things…my brain was too tired to think.
Happy travelling to Thailand, if you had a chance to visit Indonesia, then visit me too 🙂
Oh Great calendar! Love Lonely Planet!
Hey – you lived in Hartford. I am from Connecticut (Bridgeport).
Happy Weekend.
Yes! What a lovely calendar.
Big move coming for you then… best of luck!
Good luck with the move. Happy weekend.
Good luck with your move! How exciting. 🙂 We will be in Germany for only three years. That is a lovely calendar!
Lucky you to be able to experience those countries. I hope it’s not too much of a pain moving. I like the calendar too.
That is a great twist on the theme!
I hope you’ll be wonderfully happy in Thailand!
Happy Weekend!
Drop by my Saturday Hunt and read about the children of Romania.
Hugs

Your the first one to visit for the photo hunt. I know I won’t get a chance to see everyones photo.
But to me your calender to me represent the 5th month “May”
I’ve hardly traveled in my life time.
Great shot for FIVE! We have dear friends that live in Thailand that are missionaries there.
My FIVE pic is also up!
Good luck with the move, seems everyone is moving at the moment.
Wow! You have really lived an interesting life. Good luck with the move and your busy 5 weeks.
Here’s to Five in Thailand then. On and the calendar is pretty cool. The one I have at work this year shows fish… boring!
I thought it was seven years to stay in one place and then I did a 15 year sojourn in Mississippi. Having to move after that time… is brutal. I think 5 years is easier.. not so much accumulated that you feel you can’t part with! Good luck!
Five weeks will fly. I dislike moving so often not that i have! Just the thought of packing and repacking and departing from the people you have just come to know – and the anxiety of getting to know a new place. I love to travel but that is travel, moving is another thing all together. All the best to you
I’m definitely going to have to look into getting one of those calendars for 2008. For 2007, I bought a French calendar with beautiful scenes of Paris, but obviously the French calendars start the week on Monday instead of Sunday, and I’m constantly confused as to which day it is!
