I had a tough time thinking of an image for this weeks theme until I woke up this morning. I was lying in bed, rubbing my eyes, and I thought to myself: “wow, that moisturizer I’ve been using for the last few months has really been softening the skin under my eyes.” Ah ha! Inspiration strikes! To me, soft is that delicate skin around the eye. That wrinkle-prone, often darkly circled, area that I’ve been obsessing over for the last 8 months or so.
For those of you that are curious: I’ve been very satisfied with the Kinerase Under Eye Rescue I bought from Sephora in August. It was a bit pricey (US$75) but I’ve used it every day since then and I still have plenty left to finish out the school year here in Malaysia. I really do feel that my under-eye area is softer and smoother. The dark circles have gotten better, but they’re not entirely gone (when did they start appearing in the first place?!). As you may know, I am far too lazy to wear make-up, so at least this is improving the quality of my skin. I really should have taken a before picture so I could compare with the “finished product.” Oh well…
That sounds like great stuff! I’ve had dark circles for ages — my oldest son does, too, and he’s 22. Must be a family trait. Great take on today’s theme!
I am working on my eye circles too.
Mine are hereditary – everyone on my dad’s side starts looking like masked bandit in their 40’s lol.
Would you believe I am having a lot of good results with Lubriderm?
Now that is a very unique look at this theme! And your right – it IS a very SOFT area! Glad that creme is working for you! (boy, it should for those prices!)
I need to do the same with my eyes, but I fear I’m “at that age” and beyond hope. Your soft eyes look great. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
I didn’t know there were conditioner for eyes. Have to find some over here. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the visit too.
Sounds like something I should be looking into! That photo is so dramatic! Mine’s up!
Creative dream and cream live here. In my age, I have some experiences using skin softening (and have younger) creams.
Some very expensive and the opposite. I have several to choose among. Have left them everywhere. But at the end of te day: Moister and softness makes my skin babylike. I have babyskin, my age:))
Great entry.
PS. I do not advice elephant skin as a softopener:))
It does sound nice. Under the eye’s is soft. Great idea for a photo.
Have a great weekend.
Sounds like it something I need to try. Happy weekend.
This is just what I need now.
Like your choice. Very unique take on the theme.
Happy Saturday!
Not to mention the soft brown color!!!
Mine’s posted
Your eyes are beautiful! Whatever the name of that lotion it appears to be working! The skin under your eyes look very soft! 🙂
Yes, your eyes are very beautiful. Now that I’m remembering…my husband calls me “Soft Eyes” I should have taken a picture of my eyes too. That was a fabulous idea.
Nice take on the theme, really different. And you have beautiful eyes (did someone already mention that :))
I feel all inspired now to photograph my eyes…
Have a lovely weekend 🙂
Creative take on the theme! And a great photo of your eyes. 🙂
great choice! i always put moisturizer too! and the definitely makes ur skin softer!!!
Gorgeous eyes!
I have been using clinique’s eye care and found it effective 😉
What an interesting take on the theme.
You have pretty eyes! I think I need to try that lotion…
Oh, what a unique idea for the theme, I want some of that lotion now too ;). Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for visiting us.
I think your eyes are lovely and soft. Happy to hear the product is working on your skin. I have a similar concerns. +sigh+
Sounds like good stuff but I don’t have an extra $75 to spend at the moment. I’ve got the dark circles going, too, but I think it’s from overwork!
I’ve heard that a lack of sleep causes the dark circles… does this mean that all moms have them? I don’t know… I just think it is a byproduct of the passing of time. Now with all the creams and surgeries we try and cheat time… but you can’t fix everything.
Yes the skin around the eye fits this weeks theme perfectly.
Sounds like good stuff, I may have to try it! Nice take on the theme!
Happy Saturday!
Thanks for the tip. It sure seems like a wonderful product. Some wrinkles around my eyes are beginning to show and I guess it would be the right time to start on a nice regiment. Thanks for sharing. My photo is up too. Take care!
Great take on today’s theme!
Mine’s up too 🙂
Great idea for this weeks theme.
Good choice. Nicely done.
Wow that is pricey. Would you say it is better than other undereye creams? I am not taking very good care of my skin. I do like to wear makeup a couple times of week but otherwise I am not treating my skin and am noticing that I am starting to age. Ack!
Thanks for all your wonderful comments this weekend!
I have to admit that I haven’t tried any other under-eye creams, so I don’t know if this one is worth the price. I can say, however, that the reason I am satisfied, even though I ended up spending so much, is because the woman who sold it to me looked to be about 50. We spent at least an hour with her looking at all the options. Just before we left, AFTER we had decided to buy this product, because of the lightness of the creme, she confessed that she was closer to 70. And then she showed us all the cremes she uses. This was just one of them, but if I can look as good as she does when I’m 50, I’ll be satisfied. I should have taken a picture of her too…
what a neat choice for this week! Cant wait to see what you have next week. thanks for participating
