Around a month ago, as I was perusing the blogoshphere (Alex hates it when I use that word) I discovered this fantastic new website called Expat Women (which officially launched this past Tuesday). As the wonderful founders, Andrea and Jill, describe the site:
Expat Women is a new web site designed to help all expatriate women living outside of their home country. Whether you are a seasoned expat woman or this is your first experience living overseas, we have something for everyone. Our goal is to become the #1 site for Expatriate Women worldwide.
How cool is that? What a fantastic resource for anyone moving outside of their home country, especially for the first time! So, I volunteered to be a mentor for women moving to KL (I even get a fancy ExpatWomen e-mail address!). I’m so excited to get my first e-mail asking about life in KL! Check out the website and spread the word! (And while you’re there, please try to ignore the hideousness that is my self-chosen picture. I’m not quite sure what I was thinking when I sent off that gem, but thankfully they have agreed to replace it with a somewhat more acceptable picture of myself. Have I mentioned my thoughts on vanity yet?)
