As I have mentioned before, malls in Malaysia often have some sort of special “show” or “event” happening in the large open areas. This past weekend we saw a horrifying, Mickey Mouse-based, Christmas display. Please bear witness to this atrocity:
Yes, that’s correct. Not only does Mickey have only half a body, with one leg coming out of the side, one arm coming up from the floor, a hollow, blue tail, and doors in his chest, but he has no face. Not that I really care at all about Mickey Mouse and the apparant pilfering of a Disney favorite without paying the appropriate royalties. But how scary is it for a kid to walk up to a gigantic display (you can see that its easily 3 floors high), and be permanently scarred by his having no face at all? Just imaging the kid: walking around and around his round half-body, looking for the eyes and nose and finding only a blank, black, ball.
