Back in October, Alex and I went to Bali for the first time. One of the things we loved most about traveling through the countryside was the stepped rice terraces. Bali is full of hills and mountains, all of which are covered in beautiful bright green rice, glimmering slightly because the rice needs a few inches of water to grow. It’s absolutely stunning. If you’re interested, you can see more pictures of Bali here.

The photo is definitely stunning, as are the others of Bali.
Thanks for stopping by – Happy Weekend!
Wow, how beautiful. I would love to see that someday.
Such a beautiful picture! I love the others, too. The stacked-roof pagodas (is that what they’re called?) are very interesting. Do people live there?
How lovely!
Thanks for stopping by.
Very nice shot
Nice pic. And hi there from a Malaysian photo hunter. Sad to learn that you’ll be living my home country in the near future. Hope you’ll take with you some fond memories of the place.
Oops. I meant to write “leaving” (rather than “living”) in the previous post! ;(
Absolutely beautiful – I’d love to visit someday!
Very nice photo! It reminds me of our own Banawe Rice Terraces… I’m glad to hear you visited Boracay. Yes, please do come back to see the rest of our 7,106 islands (on low tide
)
I love the pic of rice terraces ..thanks for visiting my blog
Wow, a great picture.
You hit the nose on the head with the location of the pictures of my stone steps.
Great shot, and I loved your other pictures of Bali too!
Thanks for visiting earlier
That is really cool! Thanks so much for posting those wonderful photos of Bali…and for visiting Pollywog Creek.
Beautiful shot! I was on my way, a few years ago, to see the Banaue Rice Terraces in the Northern Philippines, but my plans fell through darnit. Thanks for inspiring me to make sure I make that trip the next time I’m in the neighbourhood
Happy Hunting!
Very lovely photo. The hunt has been a lot of fun today seeing all the different steps!
Thanks for coming by.
What a wonderful photo, how green it is. I love the non traditional photos of the theme. I’m so pragmatic I just think steps, from here to there. Thank you for a different take.
This is such a beautiful picture and so are the other ones of Bali!
it seems like a wonderful place to visit.
Happy weekend
Spectacular photo and perfect for this week’s theme. It reminds me of The Banawe Rice Terraces that we have here in the Philippines. Thanks for sharing. Happy weekend!
Bali is on my top ten countries to visit list.
How beautiful and serene and green.
Nice post for the theme.
Nice shot!
What a lush and lovely landscape… I had forgotten about these types of steps.. Great for the theme!
Wow! Something I’ve never seen before!
Thanks for stopping by mine
That is so beautiful. It must have taken your breath away.
Great photos; I can clearly see the steps. How fortunate to travel so far away!
Nice shot there! Reminds me of the magnificent Banaue Rice Terraces in the Philippines!
